We’re happy to announce the general availability of GPO Migrator 1.6. GPO Migrator is SDM Software’s product for allowing “drag and drop” migration and reorganization of settings across GPOs. Whether you’re doing a domain clean-up or a migration or consolidation into a new AD domain, GPO Migrator greatly reduces the time and effort required to both retain much of your existing GPO infrastructure, but also to allow you to quickly consolidate and reorganize GPOs without having to perform hours of manual re-creation of settings, or, more importantly, without dragging settings that you don’t want or need from your old infrastructure.
GPO Migrator 1.6 now supports several new policy areas, including GP Preferences Shortcuts, GP Preferences Local Users and Groups and more. In addition, when used in conjunction with our GPO Reporting Pak, you can now take settings from multiple GPOs and migrate them into a single target GPO in one step. Finally, the feature we added in 1.0 of allowing you to migrate several key areas of GPO policy into PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) documents, is now free to use. You can download the evaluation version and perform unlimited GPO-to-DSC migrations for free!
