It’s often the case in software that there’s more stuff that you want to do in a product than you have time for in a given release. That was the case with our recent release of GPO Exporter — 1.6. There were a number of things that didn’t make it into 1.5 –principally around our PowerShell support, that we added in 1.6. Chief amongst these are:

  • The Ability to run our pre-defined reports from within Powershell; this is helpful for scheduling long-running reports to run during off hours, in conjunction with the Windows Task Scheduler
  • Three new pre-defined reports, accessed through the Report Portal and PowerShell:
    • GPOs with Enforced Links
    • GPOs with Multiple Links
    • GPOs with Scripts
  • Additional Powershell parameters, for specifying servers and snapshot details

I suppose at some point, we’ll need to give this thing a new name, since it’s become more than just a GPO export tool. But for now, have a look and let us know what you think!
