Within my Server 2016 network I a have a group policy applied at the domain level that I am looking to filter out so that it won’t apply to three computers.
These three computers are already located in existing OUs and can’t be moved to other OUs.
So I am looking for a way of filtering out this group policy (based upon the computer names of these three computers) so that this particular group policy won’t get applied to these three computers.
What are the steps for doing this?
Without knowing more about any patterns on these 3 computers, the simplest option would be to add these computers to a new security group, and then deny this security group “Apply GPO” permissions. You can add/remove computers to this group in the future. Note that the computers need to be rebooted once after adding them to the group before they will take effect/work.
